FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COOPERSTOWN, NY — Today, the Managing Partners of Cavendish Global announced the launch of the Cavendish Impact Foundation. Working in concert with Cavendish Global and its robust member community, the Foundation will advance four key social initiatives — health, education, global sustainability, and inclusive entrepreneurship. The Foundation will create an evergreen fund that will support early stage opportunities to accelerate innovations through investments, loans, and guarantees.
Through the Cavendish Global network of impact investors, the Foundation will unlock sidelined capital, encourage co-investment, and provide donors with the opportunity to enhance the success of projects they are most passionate about. The Foundation’s Investment Committee will work with global partners to identify the most promising services and technologies across each social initiative. The Foundation will also inspire a new generation of impactful innovators and leaders through grants, awards, and fellowships.
The Foundation will utilize recently-launched Cavendish IQ, a by-invitation-only digital platform showcasing the groundbreaking work of Cavendish Global members. IQ connects users together throughout the year, and catalyzes collaborations and momentum to deliver impact.
“With a substantial grant from a donor at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, in addition to a generous gift of stock appreciation rights from a donor at Impact Assets, we are excited to launch this new effort to support the most promising innovations of our time,” said Cavendish Global Chairman, J. Michael Moffat.
The Foundation invites private foundations, corporations, impact investors, donor advised funds, and public charities to explore involvement with the Foundation to sponsor and promote individuals and companies with the potential to deliver transformational impact.
The Foundation further supports the success of the Cavendish Global Health Impact Forums, by-invitation-only gatherings of curated health and life science innovators, qualified impact investors, key opinion leaders, and select strategic partners. Previous Health Impact Forums have been held at the United Nations, the University of Oxford, the Cleveland Clinic, Scripps Research Institute, the University of California at San Diego, and the Chopra Center. The Foundation will be officially announced at the next Health Impact Forum in Washington, D.C., May 7th - 9th at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, Washington, D.C.
