Peter McCrea | President, Cavendish Impact Foundation
Originally from California, Peter began his career in the film business, working as an editor, writer and documentary cinematographer. He was also a founding member of the American Cinema Awards Foundation, honoring performers such as Clint Eastwood, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Elizabeth Taylor for the benefit of the Motion Picture and Television Fund. Subsequently, Peter was a founding partner of Americana Land Company, designing environmentally sustainable developments for private landowners and public entities. After moving to the East Coast in 1995, Peter served as Director of Marketing and Business Development at LHO Group for Leif H. Olsen, former Chief Economist of Citibank. Since 2009, he has served as an acquisitions advisor for the Hinduja Group, a privately-held multinational corporation. Peter recently served as Vice President of Development at the American Endowment Foundation, an independent donor-advised fund with $1.4 billion in assets and over 4,700 clients nationwide. He was previously a Business Development Advisor for Foundation Source which provides philanthropic advisory services to over 1,500 foundations, with $9 billion in assets under administration. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust. Since 2001, Peter has been a Trustee of the Lemmon Foundation, a conservation foundation. From 2006 to 2012, he was a member and served as Chairman of the Livelihoods Council at Save the Children, which provides agricultural assistance and microfinance services in the Developing World.
